Saw first monarch this afternoon fluttering over the milkweed patch. The few comon milkweed that were just a few inches out of the ground a week ago is now knee high, and the rest of the patch has emerged and is growing fast.
June 1 is the usual date I see my first monarch over the year so they are right on time and the milkweed is primed and ready!
Gonna go out and search for eggs this evening when it is cooler.
