Robin (Nesting Behavior)

Date: 05/16/2014

Number: 1

The robin couple started eight different nests in the awning of our back porch. Two were fully completed right next to each other on 5/16 and one nest was used to lay eggs. Around 5/18, the mother was around the nest nonstop, so I believe that was when the first egg was laid. I believe four babies hatched and are still currently being fed. The male father is constantly on the lookout for other birds in the yard and two cats which come in the yard daily as well.
