First egg of the year found in my yard this morning….hurrah! Checked 60+ common milkweed plants, but found no other eggs. I have not seen any monarchs yet, but this egg is proof they are in the area. I brought the egg in, hoping it is viable and hoping for a better year than last year when I struggled to raise 50 all season!
