Theodore Stone Forest Preserve, Cook County, IL; Sunday May 25, 2014. Too far away to determine gender. Another had been spotted on Friday - poss. the same one?

Non-directional flight. Conditions: clear skies, low 80s, in high quality dolomite prairie, with abundant Balsam ragwort in bloom.

Several species of milkweed present but not in bloom or bud yet, ~ 16" tall average (excepting Asc. verticillata, which is only about 12" tall now, if that).
