Noted Canadian lepidopterist, Peter Hall, co-author of Butterflies of Canada, writes about seeing a monarch near the small community of Kaladar, located at the intersection the Trans-Canada Hwy. and Hwy. 41. With the map link below, you can see how far north this is. Area north of Trans Canada Highway consisting of trees and lakes and exposed rock. Bear, deer and other wildlife abound:
Hi folks:
Did a round trip to Toronto and back from Ottawa, Sunday (May 25) to Tuesday (May 27). On the way down........ had one Monarch and one Red Admiral flying by the car near Kaladar.
