I was sitting in my chair and saw a small hummingbird at my petunia basket, had to get up and go look to see if it was male or female Anna's because I never see my Anna's sip from my petunia's. And low and behold it was a female Rufous Hummingbird!!! I was just shocked!
I have both male and female Anna's hummingbirds year round but, this is the first time I have ever seen a Rufous hummingbird at my house!
It was 3:30 pm on 6/3/14
