Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/04/2014

Number: 1

We have Monarchs flying around our yard daily. We have a few dozen milkweed plants in full bloom with seed pods open and seeds flying all over. We see the butterflies drinking the nectar and we have seen many eggs. One day I counted 6 on one plant. However, in the last two months, we have not seen one caterpillar. Not one egg has hatched. They just disappear. No leaves are eaten.

Any ideas about what is happening? I live in West Central Florida.
