My family was visiting a recreational center in Hoffman Estates for my 2 boys' karate belt testing program. There was beautifully landscaped flowers in front and I saw a monarch butterfly flying amid purple flowers. I made note it was a monarch because I had previously tried to report a monarch butterfly and was questioned and sent photos and my first had actually been a painted admiral. So, the one I saw on June 1st in Hoffman Estates looked just like the monarch butterfly pictures.
