One fresh, male Monarch sipping nectar in the flower garden behind the Philadelphia Art Museum. First of the year. Still waiting to see one at home near Harrisburg in my milkweed and nectar plant filled yard! First one last year was not seen until July-and though we cared for and raised every Monarch egg we could find, we only saw 6 "wild" Monarchs in the yard all summer; seeing one now-at the usual time for them to appear-this is good news!
