Monarch - West Side of Bruce Peninsula Approaching Tobermory (Ontario) - about 45.416354, -81.662605

Just before June 3rd, I observed a Monarch Butterfly floating lazily above the rocky shores of Hopkins Bay in the Greater Tobermory Area on the Lake Huron side of the Upper Bruce Peninsula, former St. Edmunds Township. It was a light breezy day. The owner has been successfully planting milkweed fluff on this shore over the years. I am looking forward to Black Eyed Susans and other attractive wildflowers on my butterfly meadow. This summer now that the plants are established, no need for irrigation since it will be drought proof. I counted four milkweeds growing in the meadow that I intentionally seeded awhile back.
