I noticed a small common milkweed in my flowerbed behind my house and saw that there were small circular marks on several of the leaves. After turning one over, I found a 2nd instar caterpillar! I'm very surprised because I rarely find eggs or caterpillars before June 20/21st. I didn't find any more caterpillars, although several of the plants had chew marks on them. I took this little inside for rearing.
