Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/13/2014

Number: 1

To our surprise we seen the first adult Monarch - did not stay long enough for me to take a picture. We got lots of Milkweed, hopefully we will see more soon.

We are sure that it was a Monarch as we had the opportunity to look at it for a while with a pair of binoculars. We had Viceroys here before and know the difference, all the others you mentioned are way off. Too bad some birds where around and it took off before the camera was ready.
