Yesterday (06/16) I saw my very first monarch in Granby, Quebec. it was a nice female, not too old, and she was scanning my farm's milkweed for some egg laying. I also caught my first seasonal red admiral the very same day, which is a migrant, and failed to appear anywhere around here in 2013.
