On 05/23/14 I reported I found two half-inch monarch caterpillars. Last night one transformed into a big male and was released this noon hour. A 20 mph northern wind will hopefully carry it far. FYI - The other didn't make it as it tried transitioning into a pupae; basically it turned black.
