Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Late afternoon, in a park at a festival setting. Pretty sure it was a Monarch. Size was fairly large. It was fluttering and I did not see it land. But wings looked slightly ragged. I was about 20' away and it stuck close to the trees.

This was my first sighting this year. Last year I only saw 5 Monarchs in North Central Ontario along the 45th parallel. Thamesville is farther south at the 42nd parallel.
