About 3:30 pm, a lovely female monarch butterfly arrived in our backyard, flew immediately to the milkweed plants, and laid eggs on several of the milkweed plants. After a harsh Spring, and cold,wet beginning of Summer, I was beginning to doubt the return of the monarchs. But today the temperature finally warmed up enough, and the wind died down. I started to get tears in my eyes just watching that monarch butterfly flit around. 810 West 5th Street, Duluth, MN 55806 USA is so happy to welcome its first monarch.
