Our milkweed just started to bloom today and right on time a female monarch arrived in our garden. The smell in the air is wonderful. We are a monarch watch station so we have been on the look out since the first week in June. We followed her till we could tell she was a female (no spots sacks on bottom wing). We even caught her laying an egg and took a photo!!
