Bald Eagle

Date: 06/30/2014

Number: 1

I am a tour boat captain on the St. Lawrence River. We spotted two separate nests in the last week. One nest with adolescent bird is at the quarry end of Picton Island in the town of Clayton NY. I also observed a mature bird last night flying across Eel Bay toward the nest.
The second nest with adolescent bird is in Ontario about 10 miles from Picton Island on a small island 200 yards west of the arch span of the Canadian section of the Thousand Islands Bridge in an area referred to as the Lost Channel.
