Finally!!!! I watched mama monarch in my yrd around 11 am this
morning, laying eggs all over my yard. She showed a clear preference for
the common milkweed, ignored the butterflyweed, and checked out three swamp
milkweed plants but moved on. She gave me a fly-by, brushing up against my
camera lens. I managed to collect 15 eggs--I was so busy snapping pics, I
didn't pay good attention to where she was laying!
