All the 11 eggs we collected are now beautiful butterflies. 2 males and 9 females. The last 3 females emerged today. I found 2 more monarch eggs sharing the same common milkweed leaf on 6/28 and they both hatched on 6/29. I've also spotted 4 (5th instar) caterpillars on common milkweed and 1 (4th instar) on butterfly milkweed during June. I've seen 1-4 monarchs nearly every day during the past 2 weeks and mating pairs 3 times. That's a whole lot better than last year.
