Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 07/01/2014

Number: 1

Hatched seven beauties at home and released to my garden, where they were collected. Very quick hatching in less than 7 days. Is this normal? Later generations seem to take longer. Concerned about the gulf fritillaries that harass the heck out of the monarchs when they come to feed/lay eggs on the milkweed.
