So far this year I have not seen any around home. While camping at Rondeau I observed lots and lots of milkweed. Finally I saw 4 in one spot within two minutes. They were all nectaring and I did not see any eggs. Later on campsite 230 among 4 milkweed plants I watched a male land on a flower, get nectar, circle around and land on another flower. I was able sit in the midst of the milkweed and the butterfly did not seem to mind me at all. I did not have an camera, but it was a thrill nonetheless.
