Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 07/03/2014

Number: 1

Two weeks ago, I found 2 very very tiny quarter inch caterpillars on my milkweed. The next day they disappeared. Then I found 2 more caterpillars, one very tiny about a quarter inch and the other about a half inch on milkweed several feet away from the first sighting. These also disappeared by the next day. Since then I have search several times of day, but none can be found. My milkweed plot is quite large right outside my door and milkweed has spread into my close flower garden across the drive way and also down a side drive on other side of main plot. So it is very easy to find any signs of monarch activity when there is any to find. I hope new monarchs in the area will arrive.
