Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 07/06/2014

Number: 1

As I was in my front and back monarch gardens this morning there were so many caterpillars it was unbelievable. I have been trying to bring in as many as I can to raise so the predators will not eat them. My aquariums are overflowing. I also have many chrysalis. As I was cleaning out one of my aquariums this morning, I saw something I have never seen before in my three years I have been raising them. I had brought in a caterpillar and it climbed up to the top and starting eating one of the chrysalis -- poor thing it was oozing out all over the glass.
