I know nothing about Monarch Butterflies except they do come to my flower gardens. I checked adult as they were flying and did stop to drink at the butterfly bush and other flowers. They did not stop at the South Dakota Milkweed/butterfly plants that I have started in the garden although one section is in full bloom and the other has not started yet.
I did not see any monarchs until July of this year. I planted for butterflies and I just keep watch. One year I had hundreds on the maple tree and I keep watch and hope for this to happen again. I don't know how any survive what with the sprays and the birds.
I see where you have me listed as teacher. I am a retired swim instructor. Don't think that counts. :-) If you rather I did not report please email.
