Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/10/2014

Number: 1

I have quite a large patch of milkweed behind my house. Around the end of June I start checking it daily for eggs or caterpillars. Today it was getting late when I finally got a chance to check the milkweed. I was doing a quick scan and was pleasantly surprised to find this caterpillar at the top of a milkweed plant. I started to look in earnest after finding one. I didn't find any more caterpillars but I did observe what I believe to be Monarch eggs on quite a few milkweed leaves.
