Walking at Robert T. Jackson Clearwater Park in Mt. Prospect. I was walking west on Lonnquist Blvd at about the a third of the way of the park's length, a little past the midpoint of the largest pond when the monarch flew past me and across the blvd where it alighted on flowers in front of a residence. I walked over slowly to try to capture a photograph but it flew away. It was beautiful!
