Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 07/12/2014

Number: 1

Today we found four eggs on our Swamp Milkweed. In the past week we have seen Monarchs nectaring on milkweed in our butterfly garden. A few days ago I was delighted to see a mating pair of Monarchs in our yard. I think they were the some of the butterflies that we released around the last week or two. I think the eggs that we found were from one of our released females. Today we also found a small first or second instar caterpillar on a milkweed found in a house construction lot. We are now raising it. Today was a great Monarch day.
