I live on Toronto Island on the eastern end where there is a lot of Milkweed on the beach in front of my place. I am disturbed by how late and how few monarchs there are. This group of three (one was dead on the sand) were the first I've seen this season. I will keep looking for caterpillars.
I am a former elementary teacher. My classes regularly studied monarchs and monitored the Journey North site. Thank you for your continued work.
