I was so excited on Friday July 11, 2014 to finally see several sighting of adult monarchs. I picked up two caterpillars and put them in a net enclosure and this morning, July 14, one of them was already spun into a chysalis.

They have been very slow coming but this weekend (July 12 & 13) I did have several sightings. I am thrilled as I write a column called "Bums Up" and I am an advocate for pollinators and have been encouraging everyone to plant milkweed!
