Another update: as of 7/14/14 I have had 32 monarchs emerge from their chrysalis. I have had 16 male and 16 female. All have been released in the last 15 days. I still have 4 chrysalis ans I have just had 4 of my 6 eggs hatch. I have had 4 caterpillars die and 2 chrysalis die, all from fly parasite. As far as finding monarchs, adults are everywhere and I'm not counting within a mile or so of my house. I see them daily everywhere. Just today another 7 in 3 different cities, I'm around 50-60 just in the past 2 months. I'm in a lull right now for caterpillars but am finding eggs each of the last 2 days looking, only brought 6 in.
