She was just enjoying a flight through a field of flowering weeds and lit on a milkweed for just a few seconds. It was the first sighting here in Colorado, for me! I grew up in Monterey/Pacific Grove and treasured the Monarchs, visited weekly as a kid the fabulous park (Monarch Grove Sanctuary) that harbors the Monarchs in Pacific Grove, "BUTTERFLY TOWN, U.S.A."
