Hummingbird, Rufous (FIRST)

Date: 07/14/2014

Number: 1

We saw the first male rufous hummingbird of the season at our feeder this evening. A broad-tailed male and several females have also been frequenting the feeders since April. Have seen some juvenile broad-tails at the feeders the past several weeks, too. The activity hasn't been as lively as last season which we think might be explained by the two kestrels living nearby.
