Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/13/2014

Number: 1

The first monarch we spotted was flying over the milkweeds in our flower beds. It circled quite a bit. That was on the 13th. On the 15th we observed 2 monarchs flying over the milkweeds. Today they spent some time on the milkweeds. One was a female. We are hoping for eggs. We have a lot of flowers too. Last year we spotted only one monarch for the entire season. We planted more milkweeds last year. Hope that this helps. Is this late in the season for monarchs to be laying eggs?
