Adult flew down into the courtyard waystation located at Dominion Trail Elementary School (installed by local Girl Scout Troops). Landed/checked out milkweed plants, but not nectar plants and then flew away.

This is the first sighting of the year. We planted our garden in mid-May. 3 troops are working on the project. We are taking turns watering the plants over the summer. Happened to see the monarch when I was around the garden for a fee minutes on Friday. We are all very excited! Will have the troops report any other sitings we happen to have.
