Sightings report image

Date: 07/16/2014

Number: 15

Laura and I .wWalked up and down Turkey Creek to monitor milkweed. We spotted at least 15 fresh and new monarchs nectaring on A. tuberosa and A. subverticillata in the fields and three females laying eggs on A. subverticillata. Milkweeds were lush and teeming with butterfly activity. Recent monsoon rains have blessed the area richly.
