This evening I observed a very faded female monarch in my back yard. She landed on the lawn a couple of times and then flew all around me and we danced in circles before she went high into a poplar tree where I lost sight of her. This is only the 2nd monarch I have seen this year. The first one was back on May 31 which also was a female. I still have not observed any larva.
