We have a stream with wetland on either side with healthy population of Swamp Milkweed (we also have Common Milkweed and nectar plants) - Monarch was flying over this area today - we will continue to monitor and look for signs of eggs, caterpillars, etc. This was the first sighting of the year. Later today we saw another one about a quarter mile away from first sighting but thought maybe it was the same one so I did not report it.
