My son saw the Monarch in our backyard on our milkweed. Then I went out to observe and between my house and my neighbours there are 5 swamp milkweeds. Actually 4 swamp and i whorled. I am not checking for eggs yet as it is still flitting about. I reported in early July that I saw a Monarch. I went back the next day where i saw the Monarch ,with someone who rears Monarchs. We collected 2 tiny cats, and she showed me how to look for the eggs. So that day I brought them home and the last egg is in the dance of the Chrysilis. Anyhow I have 5 in this stage and will release them when they morph. This is very exciting.I never even saw a Monarch last year. When the release happens iwill tell you how many males and females
