I was in the parking lot of a popular tourist stop, when all of a sudden, I spotted the unmistakable fluttering of a bright orange Monarch, and no, it was not a Viceroy. I was thrilled, because last year I had not seen ONE Monarch, even though in past years, in the suburban countryside of Williston, VT, where I live, they were prolific in migration....
... And then, driving on the causeway across Lake Champlain, I spotted another Monarch, will I will report separately...
