Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/03/2014

Number: 3

Still seeing one female and two males who spend more time sparring than eating. I had been hoping to see some juveniles but don't think I have any. The female is just beautiful and I got a good look yesterday as she came right to the feeder when I was very close by. The raccoons just destroy my feeders so I have to bring them (the feeders!) in and out every day. I left one out and fairly thick plastic was completely chewed thru. The bees are also getting aggressive. I had one female last year thru October after 4 others left and was getting worried about her leaving so I will be curious to see how long I have them this year. So enjoy reading everyone's posts and "jealous"of the Colorado post that looks like an airport.
