We observed one (1) female monarch in our flower garden after our noontime lunch (1PM). It was collecting pollen from our collection of Purple Cone Flowers (Echinacea). We lost sight of it after about 10 minutes - and haven't seen it since.
We live in a small town. Two summers ago we had muliple numbers of monarchs with dozens of caterpillars and dozens in the chrysalis stage. We miss the monarchs!
