We saw three very large caterpillars feeding on the uppermost leaves in our backyard milkweed patch this weekend. Sadly we haven't been able to find them again and there are no signs of a chrysalis. Still hoping that they evaded the predators in the garden. I have since brought one large caterpillar into a screened rearing habitat, along with some milkweed. Hope this one makes it to adulthood!
