I allow common milkweed to grow in my flower beds, plus I have swamp milkweed and a cultivar milkweed called "milkmaid". I have seen several adult monarchs in my yard and spotted two monarch caterpillars munching on a milkweed leaf. Several other milkweed plants have holes eaten away and evidence of caterpillar droppings.
