Sightings occurred in a bottomland/flodplain meadow, called the Butterfly Meadow for the frequent presence of all kinds of butterflies, especially since we have, for the last 6 years, introduce native grasses and forbs. These include Big Bluestem, Hibiscus palustris, Cassia hebecarpa, Culvers' Root, Liatris Spicata, Cuppplant, Prairie Dock, Coreopsis tripteris and lanceolata, Rattlesanke master, Lobelia cardinalis, Asclepias incarnata and tuberosa; and Leadplant. Natives to this area are enormous Joe-Pye-Weed, Lobelia syphilica, A. syriaca and Deertongue, among others.
