Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/06/2014

Number: 1

Larva was feeding on potato, many empty milkweeds.

Editor's Note: People have successfully substituted foods other than milkweed for larvae. However, according to Dr. Chip Taylor of Monarch Watch: "They only seem to work for fifth instar larvae that are less than four days from pupating. Many of the larvae will not make these transitions successfully."
