Walking past my butterfly garden I caught a flicker of orange and spotted my first monarch of 2014! As I fumbled to get out my iPhone to take a photo the large female deposited an egg!!!! I was able to catch her in the act and she even left me a clutch of 2 eggs! It's a happy day in Hackensack, NJ!!!
