I have Milkweed plants and I found a Monarch caterpillar on it and observed it from caterpillar stage till his emergence on 08/11/14. He was in the chrysalis for exactly 7 days. I observed him as a caterpillar for two weeks before making the chrysalis. I am sorry that I do not have a smartphone for pictures.
