Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/15/2014

Number: 30

I have seen the eggs the larvae and the adult. First saw Adult on milkweed at Maplegrove park. I went back with someone who rears butterflies and when we left the park that day I had 2 eggs and 2 tiny cats. I went back about a week later and added him to my collection. While they were growing I noticed a female monarch outside, it was all over my and my friends milkweed. I released 3 butterflys on July 26, and 2 more a few days later. My son and i then went around and collected 11 eggs , from the butterfly that laid eggs while I still had the 5 I released. Any how all of these butterflies have now gone into chyrsylis and I ended up with 21. My neighbour found more cat on her milkweed. Then we found 5 more but left them to see what happens. I have ordered my tags and will tag these ones. I have seen monarchs in my yard almost everyday in July and Aug.. I am so lucky.
