Released my Monarch butterfly today which emerged yesterday from its chrysalis. I put it on the flowers of my Bicolor Butterfly Bush, but it flew away in a southward direction, landing high up in the leaves of a tree for a few seconds before flying off again.
I released it around 12noon, it was sunny with a temperature of around 73, the high for the day.
